FOLLOW OHIO FOOTBALL: Facebook | Twitter | InstagramATHENS, Ohio— Whistles sound from Walter Fieldhouse as the Bobcats jog across the turf. Smiles shine across the faces of the student-athletes as they celebrate the end of practice. It's been a long day, but the Bobcats don't mind. The Bobcats start their day before the sun rises. Sieh Bangura wakes up at 6 a.m. and makes his way to the dining hall with the rest of his team to fuel up for practice. He fills his plate with eggs, potatoes, fruit and occasionally a pancake or waffle. The team chats as they eat before they head over to the locker room to suit up for practice. The energy is alive and well as Ohio starts its practice. The team goes into a mix of drills that foster a good competitive air. Shouts of encouragement radiate off the walls as footballs fly across the sky. "In the locker room, we're friends, but on the field it's competition," Sieh said. "I love that for sure. Everybody on both sidelines going crazy, yelling at each other. Us on the field going at each other, everybody loving it. I like that for sure." Individual drills are Sieh's favorite part of the day. Whether it's fighting for the ball in a ball security drill, or cutting cones in a footwork drill, he enjoys them. The presence of his teammates takes the monotony out of the repetition. Once the day is over, Sieh goes home and chats with a different team: his family. Family is important to Sieh and it's one of the things he focuses on the most, besides football. He talks to his mother, Maseray, every day. The two chat about the similarities of their workday. While Sieh puts in a full day on the field, Maseray clocks in a full day as a nurse. It's like they're on the same schedule, although the activities are wildly different. Maseray tells Sieh about her day with her patients and Sieh tells Maseray about his day at camp. It's a way for him to decompress after a long day at the fieldhouse."She always loves it when I tell her stuff about football," Sieh said. "She loves coming to watch the games and seeing me do good. She's into it for sure and has been since I was young. I can count on one hand how many games she's missed, and I played a lot of games in youth and in high school. She's probably missed less than five games."Although, nothing is more relaxing to Sieh than kicking up his feet at the end of the day. Sieh typically ends the night watching "The Game," a show about football. The little bit of bliss is the perfect way to cap off a productive day. In a few short hours, the alarm clock rings again and it's time for another day of camp. However, Sieh wakes up ready to clock in again. #OUohyeah
